Gold is the main currency in Methgair.  Characters created with young status begin with fifty thousand gold in their bank accounts, and all characters begin with five thousand gold in their packs.  Gold is used to purchase most of the goods and services in the game, and is awarded for most of the activites your characters will take part in.

Tokens are awarded for using your Trash for Tokens bag, which is in all characters packs when they start, for killing monsters, gathering resources, and crafting items.  They are compiled into your characters Token Ledger where they are stored until spent.  The tokens can be removed from the ledger in coin and check form for trade if desired, and can be bought and sold at Lady Luck at the Magincia Bank for an even rate of 10 gold per Token. 

​Methgair Bars are the shards custom currency and are required for the purchase of anything in the Methgairyan Store.  Methgairyan Bars can be purchased in the Methgair Store for 150k gold, and sold for 125k gold.  Alternatively 2 Methgairyan Bars are awarded for each US dollar of donation so, while donating is optional, it is clear that we appreciate the support.
